Frequently Asked Questions FAQs

What is included in the 7-piece matcha set?

The set includes one ceramic matcha bowl, one bamboo whisk, one ceramic whisk holder, one bamboo scoop, one scoop holder, one 304 stainless steel sifter, and one cotton tea towel.

What water temperature should I use for matcha?

The supplied instructions recommend water at approximately 70-80°C / 158-176°F. Avoid using actively boiling water, which can produce a harsher taste and increases the risk of burns.

Why should matcha powder be sifted?

Sifting breaks apart small powder clumps before water is added. This makes the matcha easier to blend and helps create a smoother, more even drink.

Is the matcha set dishwasher safe?

Hand washing is recommended. In particular, do not place the bamboo whisk or scoop in a dishwasher or soak them for long periods. Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning.

How do I use the bamboo whisk?

Hold it lightly and move it rapidly in a W- or M-shaped motion rather than pressing it against the bottom of the bowl. Continue until the matcha is evenly mixed and fine foam forms.

Does the set include matcha powder?

No. Matcha powder is not included and must be purchased separately.
