A clarity-focused endgame platform built around 98mm flat burrs. The YEH-98L combines a 2000W brushless FOC motor, 300–2000 RPM control and fine stepless adjustment for espresso and filter drinkers who want greater separation from complex coffees.

Key Features:

Why move to a 98mm burr platform?

The value of 98mm is not size alone. A larger working surface gives burr designers more room to shape pre-breakers and finishing teeth, which can support fast, uniform grinding and a clarity-led particle distribution. The result depends on burr geometry, alignment, speed and coffee—not diameter as an isolated claim.

98mm today, 102mm with the correct adapter

The YEH-98L is designed around 98mm flat burrs and can accept compatible 102mm sets through a dedicated carrier adapter. This makes the grinder useful to advanced buyers who compare burr geometry and want a machine that can support future experimentation.

Motor control for demanding burrs

A 2000W brushless FOC motor drives the burr set from 300–2000 RPM. The broad range lets you tune workflow and taste while maintaining the torque needed for dense, light-roasted coffees and fine espresso settings.

Low retention without a disposable build

The coffee path is specified at 0.1g retention or less. A unibody aluminum chassis and SUS304 burr carrier provide a rigid, serviceable foundation for a grinder intended to remain in a serious setup for years.

FAQ

Front view of Silver Black 98mm burr coffee grinder for espresso prep

Why choose a 98mm grinder?

A 98mm platform supports advanced burr geometries, fast grinding and clarity-focused particle distributions. Cup quality still depends on the burr design, alignment, RPM, coffee and recipe.

What grind settings should I start with?

For espresso with the stock burr, start at dial position 3 and a motor speed of 1000–1500 RPM. For pour over, try 10–11.5 at 200–700 RPM. Light roasts need finer settings; dark roasts need coarser. On first power-on, set the dial to position 30 (not 0) to avoid burr contact.

Is the YEH-98L suitable for espresso and pour-over?

Yes. Its stepless range and variable-speed motor support both. Burr geometry will determine whether the cup leans toward espresso body, filter clarity or a balanced profile.

How often should I clean the grinder?

A full deep clean is recommended every 15 days. Unplug first, detach the powder spout and hopper, unscrew the 4 top bolts with the included hex key, and lift the upper section to expose the burrs. Clean with the included brush or a small vacuum. Wipe mating surfaces before reassembling.

Can I use 102mm burrs?

Yes. The YEH-98L accepts 102mm flat burrs but requires the separate 102mm burr carrier adapter. 98mm burrs (both magnetic blind and holed types) fit natively with no extra parts.

Will my grind setting change after cleaning or a burr swap?

No. The patented internal leveling mechanism and independent spindle are designed so that disassembly for cleaning or burr replacement does not affect grind calibration. Your dial position stays accurate after reassembly.

Is the YEH-98L compatible with 110V / 120V power?

The YEH-98L is rated for 220V / 50–60Hz. North American customers will need a step-up voltage transformer. Please verify your local power requirements before ordering.

Precautions for Scale Adjustment

This machine is manufactured with the 0 mark set as the tool setting position. Do not tighten the scale beyond 0 before turning on the machine, as this may cause wear on the tool disc and affect accuracy.

When adjusting the scale, it is recommended to first set the speed to the lowest setting while the machine is powered on, and then make fine adjustments to the scale. Scale adjustments should follow the principle of "from large to small". For example, if the target scale is 3, you can first back down to 4, and then slowly back down to 3 to obtain a more stable and accurate positioning.

Safety Warning

The equipment has undergone precision testing and blade leveling before leaving the factory. Do not loosen the leveling screws yourself. If disassembly or adjustment is required, please contact after-sales personnel first.

Before disassembling any equipment part, the power must be turned off. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble any equipment part while the machine is powered on, especially critical components such as the bean inlet and powder outlet.

Do not grind anything other than coffee beans. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the grinding or powder outlet areas while the equipment is running.

If abnormal noise, odor, or overheating occurs, immediately stop the machine, disconnect the power, and contact after-sales service.
