Coffee Grinder After Sales Policy
Thank you for choosing a coffee grinder from YARRAMATE. This policy explains the warranty coverage, service process, customer responsibilities, and exclusions for eligible coffee grinders purchased from YARRAMATE.
1. Warranty Period
- Coffee grinder: 12 months from the original purchase date.
- Other parts: 3 months from the original purchase date. Normal wear is not covered.
Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser and requires valid proof of purchase.
2. What the Warranty Covers
During the applicable warranty period, YARRAMATE will provide after-sales support for failures caused by a manufacturing or product-quality defect, including, where applicable:
- The grinder does not start under normal operating conditions.
- Abnormal grinding performance caused by a product defect.
- A defective power switch or control component.
- Other faults confirmed through inspection to have resulted from a manufacturing or material defect.
For an approved warranty claim, the available remedy may include remote troubleshooting, repair, or replacement of the defective part at no charge for parts and labor. The appropriate remedy will be determined after diagnosis or inspection.
3. What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, improper operation, neglect, dropping, impact, or grinding materials other than coffee beans.
- Damage caused by operating the grinder in a way that conflicts with the product manual, including the use of an incorrect or unsupported power supply.
- Damage caused by unauthorized disassembly, modification, adjustment, or repair by a person or service provider not authorized by YARRAMATE or the manufacturer.
- Damage caused by disassembly or maintenance performed while the grinder is connected to power.
- Damage caused by operating the grinder beyond the burr touch point or zero setting.
- Normal wear of cleaning brushes, power cords, plugs, and other consumable or wear parts after their applicable warranty period.
- Cosmetic wear, scratches, discoloration, or other appearance changes that do not affect normal operation.
- Damage caused by fire, earthquake, lightning, flood, or other events beyond reasonable control.
- Products without valid proof of purchase, or claims supported by an incomplete, altered, or falsified warranty card or purchase record.
4. International After-Sales Service
YARRAMATE is currently expanding its international repair and service network. Authorized repair locations are available only in selected regions at this time, and service availability may vary depending on the customer’s country or location.
After reviewing an eligible warranty claim, YARRAMATE will determine the most appropriate service solution based on the nature of the fault, the customer’s location, parts availability, and local repair capabilities.
The available service solution may include:
- Remote troubleshooting and technical guidance.
- Sending replacement parts with installation instructions.
- Repair through an available YARRAMATE-authorized service location.
- Repair through a qualified local technician approved in advance by YARRAMATE.
- Returning the grinder to a designated international repair facility.
- Replacement of the grinder when a covered fault cannot be resolved through repair.
For an approved warranty claim, YARRAMATE will cover the reasonable costs of the service method that YARRAMATE has authorized and arranged, including, where applicable:
- Approved repair labor and replacement parts.
- Round-trip shipping arranged or approved by YARRAMATE.
- Customs duties, import charges, and customs-clearance fees associated with an approved service shipment.
YARRAMATE will provide the relevant shipping instructions, repair address, return label, reimbursement procedure, or local service information after the warranty claim has been approved.
Costs resulting from unauthorized repairs, self-arranged shipping, unapproved replacement parts, or failure to follow YARRAMATE’s service instructions may not be reimbursed.
5. International Service Availability
YARRAMATE does not currently maintain a repair location in every country. The absence of a local repair location does not affect the customer’s eligibility for warranty support.
If no authorized repair location is available in the customer’s country, YARRAMATE may arrange remote diagnosis, send the required replacement parts, approve a qualified local repair provider, or arrange shipment to another designated service facility.
Service arrangements and completion times may vary depending on the customer’s location, international shipping conditions, customs procedures, replacement-part availability, and the complexity of the repair.
6. How to Request After-Sales Service
To request service, contact YARRAMATE through the Contact Us page on our website and provide:
- Your YARRAMATE order number or valid proof of purchase.
- Grinder model and serial number.
- Purchase date.
- Your country, city, and postal code.
- A clear description of the problem and when it began.
- Photos or videos demonstrating the fault, abnormal sound, or error condition.
- Details of the power supply being used.
- Details of any troubleshooting already performed.
The service process is:
- Submit the required information to YARRAMATE.
- Follow the troubleshooting instructions provided by our support team.
- YARRAMATE will assess whether replacement parts, local repair, international return service, or another solution is appropriate.
- Wait for written approval and service instructions before arranging any repair or shipment.
- After the repair or approved replacement is completed, the grinder will be returned to the customer.
7. Safe Use and Maintenance Responsibilities
To help prevent damage and maintain reliable performance:
- Disconnect the power before cleaning, opening, or performing any permitted maintenance.
- Grind coffee beans only. Do not place hard foreign objects or other materials in the grinder.
- When adjusting toward a finer setting, run the motor at the lowest speed and move gradually from coarse to fine.
- Do not operate the grinder past the burr touch point or zero setting.
- Do not loosen leveling screws or make internal adjustments unless instructed by authorized support.
- Stop using the grinder and disconnect power if you notice abnormal noise, unusual odor, overheating, or other irregular operation.
- Clean the grounds outlet and accessible surfaces after use. Perform a more thorough dry cleaning approximately every 15 days with a brush or small vacuum, depending on usage.
- Do not use corrosive cleaners. Any part cleaned with water must be suitable for such cleaning and completely dry before reassembly.
Following these maintenance guidelines does not extend the warranty period and does not cover normal wear.
8. Out-of-Warranty Service
After the warranty period expires, paid repair service may still be available. Any applicable inspection, labor, replacement-part, shipping, customs, or tax charges will be communicated before the service proceeds.
