83-mm-Kegelmahlwerk.

Precision Adjustment

Micron-Level Precision Adjustment

Whether you need a microscopically tight range for light-roast espresso or a crisp profile for pour-over, this built-in-house mechanism delivers absolute alignment—ensuring a consistent dose and flawless particle distribution every single time.

Compatible Burrs

83mm Conical Burrs

The YEH-83C is built around an 83mm conical burr platform. Its conical grinding geometry produces a layered particle distribution suited to rich espresso, ristretto, milk-based drinks, and balanced filter coffee.

Compatible 83mm conical burr sets can be used when mounting requirements and dimensions match the grinder. Confirm compatibility before installing third-party burrs.

Why Choose an 83mm Conical Burr Grinder?

An 83mm conical burr grinder is a strong choice for coffee drinkers who prefer espresso with substantial body, balanced sweetness, and a more integrated flavor profile. The large conical burr platform is especially well suited to traditional espresso, ristretto, and milk-based coffee drinks.

The YEH-83C combines an 83mm conical burr platform with variable speed, stepless grind adjustment, and a low-retention single-dose workflow. This gives experienced users more control when dialing in different coffees while retaining enough adjustment range for pour-over and filter brewing.

Choosing between conical and flat burrs ultimately depends on the flavor profile you prefer. Conical burrs often emphasize texture, body, and sweetness, while flat burr platforms are commonly chosen when greater flavor separation and clarity are the priority.

FAQ

What grind settings should I start with?

For espresso with the stock burr, start at dial position 3 and a motor speed of 1000–1500 RPM. For pour over, try 10–11.5 at 200–700 RPM. Light roasts need finer settings; dark roasts need coarser. On first power-on, set the dial to position 30 (not 0) to avoid burr contact.

How often should I clean the grinder?

A full deep clean is recommended every 15 days. Unplug first, detach the powder spout and hopper, unscrew the 4 top bolts with the included hex key, and lift the upper section to expose the burrs. Clean with the included brush or a small vacuum. Wipe mating surfaces before reassembling.

What are the benefits of an 83mm conical burr grinder?

An 83mm conical burr grinder provides a large grinding surface and produces a layered particle distribution commonly associated with rich body, balanced sweetness, and a full mouthfeel. This makes the YEH-83C especially suitable for espresso, ristretto, moka pot, and milk-based coffee drinks while remaining versatile enough for filter coffee.

Can the grinding speed be adjusted?

Yes. The YEH-83C is a variable-speed coffee grinder, allowing users to adjust the burr speed for different coffees and brewing methods. Variable RPM provides greater control over grinding behavior, particle distribution, and the resulting flavor profile.

Is the YEH-83C compatible with other conical burr sets?

The YEH-83C includes an 83C multipurpose conical burr set and supports compatible 83mm conical burr sets. Because mounting requirements and burr geometry may vary, compatibility should be confirmed with YARRAMATE before purchasing or installing another burr set.

Will my grind setting change after cleaning or a burr swap?

The independent spindle and internal leveling structure are designed to help preserve burr alignment after routine cleaning or burr replacement. After reassembly, verify the grind setting before brewing and make a small adjustment if needed.

What voltage does the YEH-83C require?

The YEH-83C requires a 220V AC, 50/60Hz power supply. Confirm that your local electrical system is compatible before ordering or operating the grinder.

Precautions for Scale Adjustment

This machine is manufactured with the 0 mark set as the tool setting position. Do not tighten the scale beyond 0 before turning on the machine, as this may cause wear on the tool disc and affect accuracy.

When adjusting the scale, it is recommended to first set the speed to the lowest setting while the machine is powered on, and then make fine adjustments to the scale. Scale adjustments should follow the principle of "from large to small". For example, if the target scale is 3, you can first back down to 4, and then slowly back down to 3 to obtain a more stable and accurate positioning.

Safety Warning

The equipment has undergone precision testing and blade leveling before leaving the factory. Do not loosen the leveling screws yourself. If disassembly or adjustment is required, please contact after-sales personnel first.

Before disassembling any equipment part, the power must be turned off. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble any equipment part while the machine is powered on, especially critical components such as the bean inlet and powder outlet.

Do not grind anything other than coffee beans. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the grinding or powder outlet areas while the equipment is running.

If abnormal noise, odor, or overheating occurs, immediately stop the machine, disconnect the power, and contact after-sales service.
