How to Prepare Matcha

  1. Rinse the matcha bowl, sifter, bamboo whisk, and bamboo scoop with clean water before first use, then dry them thoroughly.
  2. Place the desired amount of matcha powder in the sifter and sift it into the bowl to reduce clumps.
  3. Add water heated to approximately 70-80°C / 158-176°F.
  4. Hold the bamboo whisk lightly and whisk rapidly in a W- or M-shaped motion until the drink is smooth and a fine foam forms.
  5. Enjoy the matcha directly, or add milk, ice, or syrup to prepare a matcha latte.
